"I stood in the Tropical 18 years ago. I stood at the Palace this time with my sister and neice. The resort his huge and requires at lot of walking from room 8769 to buffet. The double decker buses were nice to help get around. The food was not good, not even the specialty restaurants, except Rodizio and Tokyo was good. The breakfast buffet at the Coloniel was better than at the Palace and the hotel itself was prettier than the palace. The pools are huge and there was always enough chairs to find. Had a wonderful sweedish massage by Reyna, she was wonderful. Overall, we were very pleased with the Barcelo Maya Resort."

"We had a great experience, the costumer service it amazing! The food it’s delicious and all the employees super polite and friendly all them make you feel very welcome, the resort super clean with a lot different things to do the steak restaurant was our favorite! We definitely recommend. "

"The property is great, the rooms are good size. The property is located in the middle of a big road between playa del carmen and Tulum and there’s nothing around. You need to take a taxi if you want to go downtown Tulum, or playa del Carmen and the taxi prices are ridiculously expensive. You can’t take uber in here. I would recommend this place if you have a car or if you plan to stay in the hotel the whole time. "
