"We had to evacuate from the fires in LA and chose this place last minute. Best decision ever! We could not believe how quaint, beautiful, and cozy this place was. Amazing staff and great proximity to all things Pismo/SLO/Moro Bay. Had my pre-teen daughter with us and she loved it as well. Great times at the pool/jacuzzi and s’mores at the cliff side fire pit during sunset was amazing. Thank you staff for making and otherwise chaotic and scary time, a very peaceful and fun experience. "My wife and I have stayed at The Sandcastle several times and each time it’s a pleasure. We had the Ocean Front room with a balcony, which is literally a walkway width from the beach. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The reception, housekeeping and The Deck staff were all friendly and welcoming. The hotel has two decks with fire pits and comfortable seating. It’s an easy walking distance to the pier and restaurants."

"The property is cute. Staff was great with the exception of the Saturday evening desk clerk, he was rude and dismissive. The Saturday morning and Sunday morning desk clerk was so sweet and helped me set up a nice surprise for my daughter who was getting married that day. It is too bad the night desk clerk had to be so unreasonable at their check in. It was great that the hotel was allowing evacuees have their animals there. They should consider being pet friendly year round. "
