"I've known about the Rumi for years but this was my first time staying. I'm glad I did. You can't beat the location if you need something in central Los Angeles or Koreatown. The facilities and property was clean and quirky. Easy access to public transportation/metro. Would definitely stay again. "

"Definitely a great hostel with a higher standard of accommodations than the average hostel, especially considering the location in Santa Monica just blocks from the action, the Pier & beach! The place is super clean, has some great amenities and not to mention the Free Continental Breakfast and the friendly and professional staff make the place a top choice when staying in Los Angeles! "Lovely building, very pleasant staff, room was nice and beds comfortable. We were seeing a show at the Crest and it was an easy walk to the venue. We didn’t love that our room was on the third floor and we had to lug our luggage up two flights of steps, a bit tough for us older folks. Also didn’t love our neighbors next store who were banging on the shared wall at 5am. "

"I rented room 316. The room is modern and everything worked perfectly in the room. Plenty of fast hot water for the shower. Check in/out persons were very nice. All of the other persons renting rooms, I met walking up/down the stairs and in the breakfast area, were extremely friendly. Samesun is a totally FUN place to rent a room. I plan to rent a room again in the future. "
