"Impressive building with a feeling of class and sophistication. Staff friendly and helpful. Gym is good for a hotel facility. We picked a garden view room which was worth it as the view was fantastic to wake up to. Nice bar and (depending on which time of year you go) ‘Thors tipi’ located in the grounds, gave a lovely Xmas vibe. Came a few years ago and the hotel has benefited massively from the refurb. Right next to the train station. Parking onsite "

"3 generation Christmas shopping trip, bookable parking so convenient, as long as the Ouse is not on flood alert, hotel a little dated and tired, but clean comfy, basic drinks tray in room, replenished everyday. Reception staff warm friendly helpful and professional. Position of hotel great, just being far enough out of the centre to watch the hustle and bustle but not to be dusturbed by it, just over the bridge by the Micklegate. Loved the Christmas markets, and would definitely stay again to...
