"Beautiful old building with loads of character. Outside areas very appealing. Warm welcome from reception staff. Stunning four poster bed but on closer inspection bedroom was a little tired (especially the carpet) Nice balcony area an added bonus. Mattress a little hard for our personal preference. Very convenient for University of York (my daughter was doing the York marathon and that was the starting point) We would definitely stay here again. "
