"Visited for one night and we were both very impressed for the price. The staff were all friendly, the room was nice and clean. We stayed DB&B and the breakfast was lovely from the buffet. The evening meal was at The Fat Abbot and this was also really good. Following the meal we sat in the bar at the hotel and ennjoyed a drink in front of the open fire. Liked it that much we are having another night next week."

"Nicely out of the centre and yet within walking distance of supermarket and lovely country pubs. Fairly close to park and ride making trips to the centre easy. Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff in all areas. Would recommend."

"This hotel is great and we couldn’t fault our stay until check out time..... we had already paid for the hotel prior to our stay yet we were asked to pay again for the room! Apparently the hotel has recently changed hands and there is some issue with the accounts transferring over so the hotel isn’t currently receiving the payments people are paying ( going to the old company). "Hotel Milner was perfect for a pre-Christmas break to explore York. Most of the staff were very friendly, our room in the main hotel was charming and breakfast was delicious. The mattress in our room was a little hard but that’s just a personal preference Tastefully decorated for Christmas without being garish or OTT Ideally situated for rail travel as there’s a side door right into the station! Would recommend ✨ "
