"First time in Cancun and this place was perfect for my husband and I to celebrate my birthday week getaway. The food and service was good for the most part. There were the one or two not so friendly people at the front offering welcome drinks. I wasn’t offered a welcome drink upon arrival on Saturday evening but next day I saw the drinks there and asked if I could have one, she told me, only for the people checking in 😠. The hotel is clean and looks beautifully decorated but, the beach is not nice. When I booked the private dinner on the beach, it was set-up in the children’s pool area and had lawn chairs around it. I wouldn’t pay the $300 if I knew it wasn’t more private than that. They need to move it further away from the poolside. It was really annoying and I wanted to ask for my refund but didn’t because the set-up was nice. The dinner wasn’t so good compared to a couple of the restaurants except the octopus appetizer. Another downside is the long drive with tons of speed bumps from the main road to the hotel. It’s a 10 min one way in and out. The beach is very tiny and has lots of sea sargassum. The water is not turquoise at all. My husband forgot his flip flop on the lawn chair by the pool and someone stole it. We checked in the lost and found for a few days afterwards but no luck. I hope who stole it needed more than he did. Overall, The Hilton Cancun had everything we needed and food was good for the most part. The price was decent for the value. "

"This resort’s restaurant’s food was good, at least compared to other all inclusive resorts. The water was very clear and turquoise. Great service as well, for example, the main washrooms were all always being cleaned. Shows could be more entertaining, Expedia didn’t provide transportation at airport despite of having transportation clause at time of payment but after payment it was not included in confirmation email and we didn’t notice to the email. As always in our previous experiences for all inclusive packages the transportation was included. So, at the Cancun airport we forced to pay $160 for 20 minutes travel to resort, and after our complaining to hotel and Expedia neither of them didn’t accept our claim. Be aware and take photos from the explanations prior any payment. "
