"I recently stayed at Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun, and while the resort has a lot to offer, there are some things to consider before booking. Amenities & Costs The resort has plenty of amenities, from pools and water slides to entertainment areas, but everything comes at a cost. While the facilities are modern and enjoyable, the prices for certain services and activities feel quite high, especially when considering the overall resort cost. If you want to take full advantage of everything, be prepared for extra charges. Staff & Service The friendliness of the staff varies. While some are welcoming, I noticed that in the coffee lounge and bars, when asking for a simple juice or cocktail, a few staff members seemed annoyed or disinterested. It’s disappointing, as great service is a big part of the vacation experience. However, Krystel at the Expedia check-in and check-out table was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly helpful, efficient, and made the process smooth. Her friendly attitude and professionalism really stood out. If you need assistance with anything, Krystel is the person to go to! Pool & Beach Experience One frustrating issue is the lack of control over deck chairs. If you don’t wake up early to claim a spot, you’re out of luck. It would be great if the resort implemented a better system to manage seating fairly. Dining & Reservations The restaurants are very busy, and making reservations is a challenge.
