"My wife and I stayed at the Rambler for a long weekend away. We went to SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo and the Old Town Trolley Tour. The Rambler’s location was perfect! About 15 minutes from downtown San Diego meant we were not going to be disrupted by a lot of noise (like planes landing and taking off) but still close enough that a quick drive got us to everything. Our room was great! Very clean and it seemed like it was newly renovated. The bed was VERY comfortable and the shower had better water...

"Always a great trip. The staff is always helpful and kind. The area is perfect for walking to many restaurants. They continue to keep the rooms in good condition and take care of the property. Very secure. You must enter through the lobby. "

"Great staff and very clean, but very old and with a lot of failing parts. The elevator was broken for one day. The sink was hardly draining. There was no clothing iron in the dedicated space above the ironing board in the room. The room I stayed in had likely been smoked in - the maids were being very generous with the freshener to cover the smoke smell. Overall, it was a good value considering the price, but it is far from a luxurious accommodation."
