"Our 2nd stay at Jewel Grande Montego Bay. We love the ocean front junior suite with huge balcony w/ 2 lounge chairs. Love the beautiful grounds, amount of ocean/beach frontage and the vegetation. The staff is very friendly & pleasant and we felt safe there. However, this 2nd visit the food quality & selection had declined and restaurants could have been more efficient (and faster) w/service. In addition to waiting long for food to arrive, as a couple we seemed to have to wait for one of the few...

"This hotel is a different world, and one of the few places where they have every detail down perfectly. The service could not be better, and if you’ve been to Jamaica previously and seen the sights, there simply is no reason to leave the hotel grounds. We especially like Cottages 3 and 4, but have not stayed in a bad room yet. The private beach is perfect, as is the beach bar (“Teddy’s”). Croquet, anyone? Please don’t forget to pack your whites. The kitchen runs smoothly, and the menu is varied....

"We didn’t know what to expect. We were very pleased right from the great welcome service at the airport. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a very nice room The room was spacious with a nice balcony. It appeared that there aren’t any rooms with bad proximity. Food is very good. Even though we only had 2 dinners at the two fancy restaurants it really was ok. The other options are very good.
