My only issue with my particular room, which overlooked 2nd Avenue, was traffic noise. However, that issue does not stop me from giving it five stars based on the price and overall experience. "

"I love this hotel--the staff is professional and friendly and responsive, and the location is great. This time, though, it was really cold in NY, and the heater was hard to set. The hotel sent an engineer to address the issue--worked--but he had to come back the next day. Still--I will stay again."

We were on the 16th floor with fantastic views of the Chrysler building in a business executive sweet offering a formal living space, mini fridge, microwave, walk-in closet, spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, and large bedroom. Definitely recommend! The staff was also extra accommodating and super friendly from check-in to check out."

"Absolutely remarkable staff, helpful, thoughtful. The room itself was amazing. Great bed, great shower, and the room was massive. The only downside I would say are the bones of the building itself (hallways, elevator). We knew going into it that we would only be in the hotel when we were asleep, so if you have the same plan, i cant recommend the shoreham more. "

"Great location - great amenities! The room wasn’t ready in time for our 3pm check in which was disappointing but was ready shortly after. We needed some supplies restocked during our stay which they brought right up but everything was one at a time so we had to contact them repeatedly which became annoying but otherwise everything was great. "Absolutely perfect location for anything you would want to do in Manhattan. The only issue I had with the hotel itself is that it’s a bit outdated, the heat is extremely hot and you feel like you’re in a sauna. Our window was slightly cracked, and a draft was coming in, so it was a bit hard to regulate the temperature. The carpet definitely needs to be replaced. Other than that, it was just right for what we needed."

"A lovely hotel. Steps from subway. Dining and shopping everywhere. Room was very comfortable. We appreciated the welcome gift. Bathroom was clean; looked like it had recently been retiled. Could have used soap at the sink instead of reaching to the shower for soap to wash your hands. Biggest issue was a lack of hot water. We addressed this at the front desk and received compensation."
