Valet scratched my car and broke the reflector. Spa use is an additional charge per person and per day use. Sauna was no where near hot enough, cold room felt warmer than my refrigerator, the “Turkish bath” was just a 80 degree room with decent ambient lighting. The TheraBody leg treatment was unexpectedly phenomenal. Overall I would not recommend this place to anyone. It’s not worth the price.

The entrance to the hotel feels like a drive-thru. Cold, uninviting and unattractive. It was 2 weeks before Christmas and they had one red foil tree. For the price we expected a little more decorum. There is a club in the hotel (mid-level) adding a level of noise, traffic and a feeling of unsafety to the experience. Felt like anyone could walk in and go up in the elevators to any floor. Made it feel very cheap. If you are traveling with a family I DO NOT receommend staying here. If you want a warm Christmas feel while staying in NY over the holidays: I DO NOT recommend this hotel

My stay at Virgin Hotels NYC was fantastic! The rooms were stylish and comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. I especially loved [insert a favorite detail, like the rooftop bar, the dining options, or the location]. It truly felt like a home away from home in the heart of the city. Can’t wait to visit again!

Mixed feelings. Pros - the view from the empire chamber was amazing. It saved the rest of the experience. The location was good for getting around. Cons - the hotel was quite cold and unfriendly. Staff at breakfast were uninterested. Disappointing couldn’t visit bar due to a private party. No tea making facilities in room. Lifts couldn’t cope with the amount of non guests visiting. We felt that the hotel guests were an after thought and we did not experience the American hospitality we expected. I read similar reviews before visiting but still have the hotel a chance.

I loved the hotel until I went to bed. The noise from the air conditioning and fridge was crazy. Unacceptable Also the staff were generally miserable and had a poor attitude, like they were doing you a favour by serving you. I won’t be going back

I don't know how this property gets away with saying it's 5 stars. Had two issues with this hotel 1. They lost a package I ordered and did not care. Did olnot even let me in where they keep the packages to look for it. Staff just did not care. 2. They never made up the room we would leave in the morning and came back 5 hours later to find room was not made up. Notified through phone, alert And TV. One. Day I found one of the maids and she said that they prioritize rooms that are checking out. Hotel is nice, bed is comfortable but room layout is weird. Will not be staying here again. And I advice people to skip this hotel and find others for the same price with staff that actually know what they are doing.
