"Fun place, great location. Good conditions for a hostel, however the lift broke the first day we were there and had to walk up for our room on the 5th floor. Was not fixed in the 3 days we were there. Also, just note there is no A/C and no fans and London is hot in June. "

"When booking a small English hotel this is *exactly* what I was looking for. Little neighborhood pub on the ground floor (excellent food, BTW), quirky little hallway up the winding staircase to our room. Clean, super hot water, tea in room. I was extremely bummed to miss breakfast due to an early flight. Also easy walk from the train station!"

"Had the price been 1/2 of what it was I would have had lower expectations and not been so disappointed. Virtually none of the photos in the listing have anything to do with this property, including the pub images (which is a completely different business!). It was a run down property, not a cute boutique hotel as it looks in the photos. No one was anywhere nearby when checking in, and we called the number listed. The owner answered right away and texted a code to access our room. Only one outlet...

"Clean and modern hotel, staff were courteous. Very convenient location - close to Tube stations and bus routes, cafes and restaurants. I couldn't turn off the air conditioning at night in my room- the button seemed to be stuck, so it was a bit noisy and took me a while to fall asleep. I did appreciate being able to open the window in the room, though - nice change, as many hotels fix their windows shut. Breakfast was good. All in all, it was an enjoyable stay."

"Very nicely decorated large rooms centrally located but away from tourist areas. Walkable to St Pauls and Covent Garden. Good range of food choices. Steep stairs to the rooms may be difficult for some, some noise from other rooms and the pub. We were in the first floor, so adjacent to the bar but we did not find the noise to be too distracting. Will definitely stay again, highly recommended."
