"This is my second stay at the Allegro Hotel in Cozumel. There are numerous things I could say about the hotel. However, what truly makes this a great place to stay is the staff! From check in to check out and every day in between, the staff went out of their way to be kind and helpful. I did have one server during a dinner that the young lady seemed rude. "At first, I didn't think my friends and I would like that there aren't sailboats, paddle boards, etc, but the snorkeling made up for it. We enjoyed watching the cruise ships coming/going. Much smaller hotel than we've stayed at before, but we really liked the more personal feel from the staff. I had seen reviews about the noise from construction. That is only during the day, and we didn't hear it on the beach or restaurant. We will definitely return"

"Main reason for the ratings is that the property was undergoing various forms of renovations and construction. That process started around 8 AM and went till around 6 PM Mon to Fri. Basically there was no quiet place inside the main property during that time. Otherwise, the property met my needs, the staff was helpful and friendly, and it was located in a good area closer to the cruise ship terminal area then actual city, which is generally a better area to be. "
