"During my stay at La Playa Orient Bay in St Martin, I was impressed by the great service and the spacious, beautifully decorated rooms. Though the ocean view is more of a partial view, it's still a delight to wake up to the soothing sound of waves each morning. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the staff at the reception were incredibly helpful and welcoming. "Food was great! A majority of the staff was great! Tried the rooms with Bali beds out front and that was a waste of money. No view and filled with ants. Get a higher room with an ocean view. The beach was useless as it is steep and ground seashells for sand. That said, you cannot beat the view of Simpson Bay. Great island and will be back when they rebuild. I would just stay at a sister property near the airport next time."

"Although a bit dated, this hotel is a wonderful place to unwind and to relax. The proximity of the beach area is quaint and allows the full experience of a vacation. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. The service was prompt. I slept like a rock in the clean and comfortable bed. Loved the various pillow shapes. I was able to practice speaking my French and the staff was supportive. All shoppes and restaurants are a five to seven minute walk from the hotel and easily accessible....
