"Beautiful resort. Easy to switch up your day from the pool to the beach. The property felt cozy despite being decent-sized. During our stay the last week of September the resort wasn't busy. There was a steady breeze so the ocean waves were rough, however the ocean views were stunning. It's worth paying extra for an ocean view room. Be careful when ordering excursions from the guys walking around the resort, they are all about booking trips but make cancellation very difficult - you've been warned! I've stayed at a number of resorts around the Caribbean/Mexico and this hotel experience is near the top. Get a legit hotel transfer company to/from the airport - don't just book based on the lowest price. Call the Excellence resort and ask them for a recommendation if you don't want to book it thru the resort - they know which companies are reliable and safe. "
