"I have stayed at this hotel many times, and I feel after this visit, i Will book direct, you can discus type of room , and position, i have booked direct before, much better. hotel is immaculate,clean every where , staff good . room was cold I rang reception , some one came right away to sort faulty radiator. great location"

"Very welcoming staff and the downstairs was clean and well maintained. Next to the racecourse the hotel parking was effortless, paying at the manned entry booth with either cash or card. The room's sofa bed cannot really be used as a sofa as when you sit on either end, you roll into the middle. Road noise on the road side, may seem obvious but loud even when dry, or pay extra for a racecourse side room. A 5 minute walk into the city centre with everything that has to offer."

"Nice hotel in a good location though works are going on in the car park outside and the gym was closed. Would recommend though and would stay again especially when the works are complete"

"Lovely hotel, with friendly staff. The man on reception was very helpful and went out of his way to recommend local restaurants in Chester, he even gave me a map of Chester and pinpointed out the location of the different types of restaurants. Thank you. "

"Lovely place, friendly staff and excellent location Unfortunately the wall between rooms was so thin I could hear every moment of my neighbour all night. Also the pillows are terrible- made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. I appreciate you can’t do anything about the soundproofing in such a lovely old building but the pillows are a very cheep easy fix Would stay again but not whilst working! "

"It’s been a while since I last stayed here, the refurbishment is lovely, the bedrooms are basic but bright, light and comfortable , excellent for a quick stay over on the motorway services!"

"Stayed for first time last night don’t hestitate to book staff are so welcoming there is few car park spaces but if can’t get one car park close by only £8 overnight.set in lovely quiet location by race course short walk to bars and restaurants lovely modern comfortable room with comfortable bed and lovely rainfall shower would highly recommend and will definitely return in future."
