A good hotel with a beautiful beach. The staff are friendly. The food is excellent. The room we had was the apartment - would not recommend as super loud overlooking the street (lots of traffic / noise) and very dark (bit like a cave!).

Our stay at Alaya Hotel Tulum was absolutely magical! From the breathtaking beachfront views to the serene atmosphere, every moment felt like a slice of paradise. The rooms were beautifully designed, blending luxury with nature in a way that made us feel completely at peace. We had a wonderful stay overall. The property is well maintained and the service is excellent. I do not recommend going to their sister hotel for the Beach Club access. There’s not much of a beach club there. We preferred the beach setting on the property.

Perfect location
Beautiful villas right on the beach. Perfect location with several restaurants/bars nearby. Great staff/service. Great breakfast and beach bar service. Very thankful to the staff for helping us find an emergency doctor and dentist after a fall. The floors are very slick so be careful if wet. Love Alaya. Love Tulum.

Great cozy hotel right on the beach. Truly an amazing experience. The only downfall is since it’s on the beach you can only get to the hotel by taxi and it cost $30-$40 for every time you enter and leave the area to go into the city. And taxi drivers are always trying to maximize how much they charge. For that reason alone I will not stay in the beach area again. That was too frustrating. The first night I arrive the taxi drivers went on strike and there wasn’t any taxis available the second day I was in Tulum. I felt trapped. Be ready to spend a lot of money on their food as well. My friend and I would spend $60-$90 on breakfast alone at the hotel. I will say the food is super clean. They offer all healthy choices. They offer you one free healthy drink a day .i chose a shot of tumeric and ginger. Waking up on the beach was also breathtaking. The stars at night are amazing.
