This recent weekend trip provided a wonderful experience at a beautiful hotel known for its modern and comfortable rooms, with various appealing amenities. The hotel offers a serene atmosphere, making it an ideal getaway for relaxation.
However, there are opportunities for improvement in the hotel's three restaurants, particularly at Olio, which specializes in Mediterranean cuisine. The food was not good at all. You can tell we were being served frozen food in a few areas. We expected fresh food. The bars and the drinks were always very watered down. Beware of pushy salespeople upon checking in who try to whisk you away for a 90-minute trip to their sister's location. This was very irritating, as we were hungry and tired from our long trip. They wanted us to make a decision right there and then. This was not a pleasant check-in experience.
The service in a handful of areas was prolonged.
The hotel has nine pools and a well-regarded spa.
The beach club is nice but they need more staff in the bar and lunch area.
The hotel is in Aldea Zama, an area that allows for pleasant walking trips to nearby boutique coffee shops and local restaurants.
