Southern Kyoto hotel rooms a the Daiwa Roynet Hotels

"Location, location, location. Booked as last minute due to travel plans changes. Previous reviews indicated not to expect much just a general business hotel. To our surprise it surpassed our expectations. The location is right across Kyoto station. The room ideal for our family of four. Steps from restaurants and retail. The front desk staff was so accommodating. Highly recommended. "

"Our stay here was absolutely amazing during Obon festival. It is walking distance from Kyoto station, two malls and 3 conscience stores within 5 min walking distance. The staff is kind and very helpful with providing any food recommendations and as well as quick guides (ie., direction and history) to near by events. The amenities were amazing and available on the lobby and encouraged to take what you need as a part of the eco friendly initiatives in the hotel. There is a public bath accessible for guests and massage chairs at a cost. There is a laundry change machine available on the first floor but I do recommend avoid using the laundry machines, if possible. There are only 5 machines with both wash and dry functions on the same machine so there is quite a bit of wait for a machine and after completing a wash/dry cycle, your clothes are still wet. Otherwise, the entire stay was amazing and would definitely stay here again. "

"Had a fab experience at this hotel. It was very traditional (which is the reason we booked it). Loved experiencing the onsen. Lots of free extras including ramen and ice creams. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!"

"The hotel location is great. The train is a short walk and there’s even a direct pathway. Not crowded part of town so that was nice too. Hotel is clean and the amenities are above and beyond. Breakfast buffet was also good. Service was top notch. We dropped our luggage off early and it was in our way by check in time."

"This place was great, we had connecting rooms for the two adults and two adult size kids. In case you are wondering like I was, a twin mattress in Japan is bigger than a US twin size but smaller than a full. It would be hard for two people to sleep on it. The location of this hotel cannot be beat. It’s right in the middle of great shopping and restaurants and 2 mins from the Kyoto train station. The Kyoto station has a huge mall in it too. The staff was friendly and always greeted us warmly. "

"The Miyako Hotel is conveniently located near shopping and transportation centers. The hotel offers an excellent dinner. The staff are extremely friendly. It’s a wonderful place to stay."
