"We loved the ambiance, the architecture, the unique quaintness of the building! Our room was just adequate for a one night stay. We enjoyed the warm pool as a gathering place to meet others at the end of the day. The neighbourhood had a lovely beach, several restaurants, but very few shops for tourists/souvenirs/snacks."

"I might say you get what you pay for. Normally I stay at Nomada Beach hostel, but since I was on a shoestring I went the budget route with Casa Santurce. It was a low key place but the bunk rooms are cramped, and their is no kitchen. For a few dollars more at Nomada you get a pool, a nice kitchen, much better showers, and many different sitting areas. I'd suggest that Casa Santurce make this more cooking friendly, and also provide a few more places to sit."

"CBH is housed in a historic bldg, right in the middle of old San Juan, so easily walkable to many shops, bars, restaurants, etc. It is a lovely property, Moroccan in style with very beautiful furnishings. It shows its age somewhat but, overall, pretty nice, and we'd stay there again. My only issue is with the coffee service. There is no hot pot in the rooms, and you are directed to the lobby for comp coffee. However, when I went down one morning, the pot was empty and it took almost 3 hours to...
