"The hotel is historic and beautiful. The room was nice and spacious. The staff was mostly very friendly, but the restaurant and bar had trouble keeping up with even moderate traffic. They were training a lot of new folks and it showed. The food was decent. Location is excellent and would stay there again with plenty of dining options outside the hotel."

"We had communicated to the hotel on 2 separate occasions concerning our late arrival time which was to be about12:30 am. I was assured that someone would be there to check us in. Our taxi dropped us off on a very dark and deserted street and the door to the hotel was locked, we rang the doorbell and phoned several times but no response. "This is my favorite spot in San Juan. I call it a zen retreat. Every room is different. With outdoor indoor living. Showers and tubs outdoors with room with patios. Inside the rooms are individually decorated and charming. The staff is incredible and Jacob will take good care of you as will all the staff. "The hotel was nice. Very clean, nicely decorated. The only issue that I had was that at the middle of the night the fire alarm started to sound. Went to the front desk to ask what happened since I didn’t see guests or personnel running outside, they just mentioned it was a misunderstanding or error without any apologies. If that would not happened, I would have sleep better that night. Nevertheless, the hotel has a good location. Also it provides parking which is a huge plus. "

"Staying at the La Terraza in Old San Juan was the highlight of my trip. The staff was EXCELLENT! Very accommodating and helpful 24/7! Even though they had breakfast services, La Terraza was also a very short walk to various restaurants. Being a woman traveling with my teenage daughter, elderly mother and young autistic son, I felt very safe in the surrounding community and I am grateful that I was able to take my mother one more time to Old San Juan to see all the new changes that occurred...
