"We stayed in San Clemente for one night. The hotel itself is an older property, but the rooms were nicely updated. It was quiet and comfortable. The customer service was very good. We were recommended a place for dinner that was excellent. The only downside for some might be the bathroom door. It slides at the top and there is a bit of a gap when closed. Not a big deal if you are comfortable with who you are traveling with, but it's something to be aware of."

"Fun, brightly colored and spacious room (We stayed in the Bali Room). It was perfect for our family of 4. Conveniently located within walking distance to several restaurants. The Nomad Cantina right above was also really fun, and had excellent food, great beer selection, and fun, vibrant atmosphere and decor, and the staff were friendly. Surf friendly. We did not take advantage of the SURF CAMP, but with San Onofre State Beach and Trestles nearby, I bet it would be awesome."
