"I did book this hotel for two nights but decided to book another hotel for the replacement of the second night here. This is an older hotel. It is next to the Arashiyama Train station. "The staff is friendly and they offer transportation to and from the train station when you arrive and check out. The rooms have a lot of space. The rooms need to be deep cleaned, there was a lot of mold and grime. The toilet room smells like a porta-potty 24/7, the AC does not work well and we woke up sweating multiple times a night. The bed had hair on it that was not ours and the carpet needed to be vacuumed. "
