Discover the history of the famous shopping avenue, which began in the 19th century with three large department stores. The street is also known for its affiliation with the British music industry, with the offices of several labels located here.

Stroll down this fabulous shopping street and admire the shops’ elegant window displays. The street is home to an ever-changing line-up of upscale designers and budget warehouses. Visit Kensington Palace for a tour of its elegant chambers. Marvel at the fascinating mural depicting members of George I’s court. The mural decorates the walls of the King’s Staircase. See if you can spot the mural’s artist, William Kent, who included a depiction of himself in the mural holding an artist’s palette.

Continue through Kensington Palace to see the impressive artworks of the King’s Gallery and the grand Georgian chambers of the King’s State Apartments. Stop by the Victoria Revealed exhibition to learn about Britain’s second-longest reigning monarch.

Make your way through the Palace Gardens, which contain the classic ornamental Sunken Garden and the vast Formal Gardens. Walk along the beautiful Cradle Walk for lovely viewpoints over the Sunken Garden.
