"Hakone Kowakien Ten-yu is a place to go to make full use of the facility. This is an excellent resort, 5 Stars definitely. The staff members were impeccable. They went the extra mile to meet our needs. The rooms were super. All of our rooms were large with an onsen tub in the balcony with the a great view. Nevertheless, a dip in the main onsen was amazing. There was also a heated pool that was great for the kids. A couple things to keep in mind is that this resort is deep in the mountains with limited transportation and eateries. We only had breakfast at the resort, which was first rate. We wished we had made reservation for dinners. As for transportation, check the bus schedule before hand. Also, be sure to make reservations for taxi before hand too. We truly had a relaxing, enjoyable stay."

"Stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Our room was on level 7, which is the same level as the onsen, so it was very convenient for us to use the onsen. Our stay included breakfast and dinner. Both meals were buffets, with a good variety of food choices. We drove, so parking was really free and convenient. Overall, nice stay, friendly staff and good amenities. "

"It’s a spa resort with a shuttle to/from the station and the doorway. Great staff & services. Gorgeous views and an amazing breakfast buffet and top notch restaurant for other meals. The onsen was public and worth going. You’re there to relax unwind and enjoy the views and surroundings. Well that ticked every box. Lovely!!"
