We stayed for three nights and it was marvellous. It is a larger, more hotel like ryokan but still has a very tranquil atmosphere, and was great for families like ours. There are two public onsen — they switch between men and women daily — and both are spacious and serene. It was such an experience soaking in the onsen under the stars, looking out onto the mountains. The rooms are spacious and the private balcony bath which fills with hot spring water at the touch of a button is a lovely touch. The buffet breakfast and dinner were both very good for buffet offerings. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to help.

We had a really relaxing night. Onsen was great. I wish I had it during the day. I booked dinner at 5pm instead of 7 so I only had time to go onsen after dinner so it was dark. They also had concert with a singer and a guitar which was nice but other than that I wished we have some walking path nearby so we can have morning walk. The room was clean but the mattress was little old so I didn’t have a good sleep. But the area was quiet and relaxing but wished little more activity.

Booked because it looked pretty on the pictures but the hospitality exceeded what we expected and we enjoyed our stay. So much so, that my boyfriend is asking if we can come back the next time we’re in Japan.

Such an amazing and relaxing place. Every room comes with their own private hot tub. We were given an upgrade and the room was super spacious. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was worth it as it had various options from western to Japanese breakfast. Dinner was nice as well as it was served as a Kaiseki. The whole facility was super relaxing and worth the stay. Would definitely come back to stay here again.

It is a truly 5 star hotel - great room, amenities, and service. I tried all onsen facilities - the private one on our balcony, and two public ones with stunning views. Both kaiseki dinner and buffet breakfast were great. Cold drinks, coffee and ice cream were all free in the lobby. The only small issue was to the transportation. There are a couple of buses if you can do that, but getting a taxi out of the hotel was not easy. Luckily we had Go taxi app. It is 15 min walk from the open air museum. We enjoyed the walk and the museum.
