"As a California State Park, Asilomar is unique and offers the oceanside nature experience along with comfortable accommodations. The main reception building is magnificent and is very comfortable for a small or large group: conversation, playing pool, listening to the piano, sitting in front of the blazing fire. Our room was excellent -- bed very comfortable -- but it was too cold. We couldn't adjust the thermostat."

"We LOVE this place. It’s a short drive to downtown Monterey, fishermans wharf, and Cannery Row/Monterey Bay Aquarium. There is also a nice shopping center across the street with a Petco, Whole Foods, and other shopping restaurants. There is easy access to the 1 which will take u to Carmel,17 Mile Drive, Big Sur, and several state parks. As for the hotel, the rooms are modern and clean, but the beds are a bit firm. We’ve stayed here twice in a
