"Good location, great price, funky and modern. Small desk, but large bar and lounge room. Here in late winter, so no access to roof deck. Rooms are tiny, but well laid out with efficient storage. Really nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Room was clean, but public spaces could use some attention."

"Location is great. Facility is good. The only thing I would ding the stay for is how hard the room doors slam shut. Late night / early morning when guests are coming and going, the slamming of the doors will wake you up."

"Rooms have been renovated, neat and modern. IKEA-style open shelving rather than a closet. Vinyl wood-grain planks rather than carpet in the main room. And real tile from doorway landing through the bathroom. Modern standing shower with glass wall, no tub. All very clean and neat. The entire room is smaller, just enough to contain a large bed, night stands, and the shelving with desk unit. Quite comfortable for a single person. Enough for a couple who won’t spend much time in the room. Too small to entertain guests, with no table, couch, or conversation chairs (just one desk chair). I did appreciate that the window opens several inches for fresh air. But New York is *very* noisy, with police sirens, 24-7 honking, jack-hammer at midnight, and an occasional scream. So I shut to sleep. A mini-fridge is tucked away behind a cabinet door. A large flat-screen TV is mounted on the wall. I am not sure if you can access ports on the TV if you need to hook up computer or device; do ask them if you need that. WiFi worked well generally, though there’s a fee to upgrade to higher speed. I found the free-of-cost standard speed adequate for web-surfing and some YouTube. They have “Captive WiFi” with a login. That login seems to only work for a day, then no data. I would have to try annoying tricks like “Forget this network” to force the Captive WiFi to rejoin and start again. Breakfast is okay. Real eggs and meat. Sugary cereals, white bread, juice, coffee - American fare."

"The staff is what makes the hotel. Everyone is great and helpful. The hotel itself is a bit dark. Would have preferred better ambient lighting. Our suite was huge by NY standards. They need complementary coffee in the room or lobby. "
