It's a 2min walk to Paddington Station and I also found it easy to catch a black cab at the Hilton next to the station. Very quiet and safe area. I will always choose this over paying more to stay in the chaos of central London. St. David is not a good place for families and young children. Perfect for solo travelers, travelers with a friend (two twin beds were perfect for us) and for couples. "
