"We loved it here!! I have so many good things to say, where to start? At check in, where we received one of the warmest welcomes ever from a front desk. The attendant was very thorough explaining everything we needed to know and filling us in on some local things we found helpful. When we got to our room, one of the honeymoon suites, we were amazed at how spacious it was! It was very clean and we appreciated the fact that it was kept toasty warm, since it was extremely cold out. The refrigerator, heater, microwave and TV all worked very well. There were plenty of clean towels and toiletries, and we appreciated having a bottle of dish detergent and a roll of paper towels on the wet bar. The big stone hearth with fireplace was wonderful, and we had no problems with smoke coming into the room. We really enjoyed soaking in the big soaker tub too. The balcony overlooks a running stream and we loved taking our coffee out there in the mornings. We were hoping to see a bear and we finally did our last night! The bed was SOO comfortable, so much so that we actually slept 10 hours one night. We didnt hear a thing from our surrounding environment except for the sounds of the creek out back, and we delighted in hearing that. The grounds were well kept and we saw staff around constantly. The room gave us a cabin feel without a cabin price. We were so happy with Brookside that we booked another stay with them, and I have no doubt we will be just as happy next time."

"We stayed for New Year's Eve...right on the (free, in Gatlinburg) trolley route, so we trolley'd down to the restaurant we were to eat at, then back, wonderful when you have members of the group who are limited on their walking distances. Also had a view of the top of the Needle to see the fireworks....really fun! The pool is lovely, and the extra hour tacked on the hours it is open that is adult only is nice. Kids love pools, but adults need that break!"

"We stayed in a partial view room which had a lovely view of the mountains. The hotel itself was nice and fun for the whole family. The food was decent from the restaurants on site and were extremely convenient for us if you ignore how expensive it was. The hotel is only like a 2min drive from the attractions but the trolly picks up at the hotel so you don’t have to drive anywhere. The pool was awesome for the kids, however be prepared to scrape your knees on the bottom of the pool if you use the slide. The water is only 3.5ft at the bottom of the slide so my kids ended up with scraped knees and elbows. There is a part of the pool that is 5ft so I don’t really understand why the slide dumps in to the shallow end. I’d also suggest that you hold on tight to your belongings because the hotels process of lost and found seems to be extremely disconnected between departments. We dropped my daughter’s jacket at check in and it was turned in to the receptionist. However, the hotel can’t seem to locate the jacket. It was below 30 degrees while we were there so that was extremely inconvenient. Especially because I know that they have the jacket. Other than that, overall our experience was satisfactory and we would definitely stay here again. "

"This is our second stay. We really enjoy staying at Country Cascades. I recommend the bunk room. We tried the 2 king suite this trip but prefer the bunk room. "
