"I don’t want to be too negative about this hotel, but it has some very strange quirks. The Airai is a very large hotel, but looks like they only use a few rooms, it is a long way from town, but walkable to a new shopping centre, which has some food options, the strange thing is there are never any customers, this was our third stay, depending on day of the week you get a full resort including a water park virtually to yourself. "Once this is fixed up and (hopefully) back as a dive/tour operator i would give even higher grades. It has a bit of a patinated feel to it, i.e not new and certainly a few dings and dents but if you don't mind sharing a bath room the place has a certain charm. It is close to a number of tour operators so it can be very well located. A bit far to walk to downtown...."

"Our family had a great stay. The staff were very helpful, it did seem like we were the only group staying there. We were in the cabins which showcase local traditional building style and materials - lots of wood and natural thatch roofs. The rooms were clean and the grounds/landscaping were beautiful.
