"We are at the end of our private tour of Sri Lanka. We booked all accom from Australia. The most consistent service issue across all accommodation regardless of price point or star rating is the inordinately slow service! Whether drinks or food slow service is endemic across Sri Lanka and unfortunately the cinnamon grand is no different. Staff always try to be helpful however this is the first hotel experience where staff seem unhappy. Just to be clear what we are talking about is the time taken...

"I liked the location of the property, easily accessible within Colombo, the rooms were nicely decoratored & furnished. The hotel felt safe. The room service was excellent. The breakfast buffet had great options. The lunch buffet was good too. The staff were very polite & helpful. The only negative would be cleanliness. We stayed for 11 nights & it didn't feel like the rooms were vacuumed regularly, nor given a thorough clean during our stay. The corridors didn't look like they were vacuumed...

The Colombo Residency or Crescat residency as its know is in a prime area of Colombo along the Galle Road. Situated next to the Cinnamon Grande Hotel it is within minutes of the Crescat Mall with its shopping and Food Hall situated on the Lower level.
