Carmel hotel rooms a the Independent

" Very nice place. Easy access to Ocean Ave and everywhere else. The host is very friendly as well. I got the executive suites with adjacent rooms and my boys loved the main room and the queen size bed. Will definitely choose this place again next time in Carmel. Jon"

"It's a nice hotel in great area. A lot of restaurants, shops and stores are around. The room and hotel itself was clean. Beautiful flowers were blooming all over the place. We had breakfast in the hotels restaurant and it was delicious. "

"The rugs were stained and dirty when your walk into the lobby. There was hair in the bathtub in my room. They lack in Cleanliness and its outdated."

"We were married at Highlands Inn 60 years ago, thus the reason for this return. It was a most gracious and gratifying reunion. We left as excited and as happy as we did after our wedding in the chapel and reception in the room now known as Sunset Lounge. Accommodations were superb, eclipsed only by the hospitality of positively everyone with whom we dealt. Wish we had planned to stay longer."
