And check out the Manhattan restaurant on the first floor. Great live music every night and wonderful food."

"This is our second time staying at the Wayfarer location in San Diego. My son is currently taking surf lessons while we stay at the hotel. We are frequent visitors to the San Diego area and decided to stay here for the convenience of the surf lessons being located directly in front of the hotel. We have been pleasantly surprised and plan to stay here more frequently in the future as it continues to surprise us around each corner. This morning I sat on our ocean front balcony as dolphins...

"The staff were great, the ocean view room fantastic. Hotel shows its age a bit but everything functioned well and you can't beat the location. "

"The hotel was very well run and we enjoyed our stay. It was so close to the shore line that we could walk to the sea lions. The room and bathroom had been updated nicely but our only complaint was the shower. The water barely came out of the shower head. It wasn't that the pressure was low it was non existent. I would also encourage you get a room not too close to the elevator. It was a little noisy at night but it is an old hotel. "
