Atami hotel rooms a the Livemax

"This hotel offered breathtaking views of the lake. My husband and I opted for a room with a private open air bath which was amazing. Note though that the bath only fits one person at a time, and there is no view of the lake which was disappointing. Instead we faced a weird parking lot. The staff is very kind and go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. The food has good options, but it is the same dishes everyday. The free wine and beer was a nice touch! Some tips on the area: there is not much immediately around the hotel. You will need to take the bus or ropeway to access other things. We LOVED the open air museum which was a 30 minute bus ride away. The hotel offers a shuttle from the train station to the hotel (it’s about an hour away) Make your reservations to the train station in advance! We were unable to get a reservation because they were already booked. We ended up taking a bus to and from Shinjuku (Tokyo) which was really easy because it was a straight shot to and from the hotel. Lastly, I was surprised how many small children were at the hotel. There were several that were loud and screamed a lot during our dinner, and then breakfast the next morning. We didn’t love that since this was supposed to be about rest and relaxation. We spoke to the staff moved us to a quieter dining area."

"The staff was so lovely and polite and very accommodating. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. They provide plenty of shuttles to get around to the bus and train stations. Also very accommodating for food. The onsen and amenities were lovely. Toyoma handled our check in and was so wonderful. Our dinner server was Bishnu and he was also so so helpful and kind"

"This hotel is amazing. We have 3 people staying and all the staff are very friendly. Transportation is not an issue at all. The hotel provides free shuttle service (scheduled) in between odawara station and also free pick up/ drop off service (no reservation needed) to Gora station. The private onsen is awesome, just a little disappointment is we are facing the river which they are having big construction during the day time. You will hear the noise if you are in your room during day time."

"Beautiful stay in a beautiful ryokan with traditional but comfortable decor and furnishings. The staff, the service, the food, the onsen were all superb and we especially loved our spacious suite with amazing views of the countryside!"

"This hotel is wonderful. They will give u voucher if you don’t need to make up room. Room cleanliness is great. View from from the room is great as well. Sleep Is undisturbed."

"Our family visited Atami during New Year and literally checked in on New Year Eve! The staff were super welcoming and helpful. We actually went to the wrong hotel building at check in, and they immediately sent a pick-up for us to get to the correct building. The meals included in our hotel package were all buffet, and the food was amazing! There was a very wide variety of choices. You can even enjoy the ocean view during breakfast if the balcony (and shower) in your room is not enough for you to admire the beautiful Atami :) We would love to visit again during Summer to see the fireworks!"
