"This is a great alternative to the hotels that are on the island. But it is an econo Lodge. Meaning limited power and water. It does give a real feel for the colonial living of the island. And for my overnight stays between diving it fit the need."

"Its a wonderful classic colonel property. Its very old and the elevator is very charming. The grounds are wonderful and the pools are well maintained and served very well by the staff. The room we stayed in was very small. But the bed was spectacular as were the pillows and linens

"I wish I could give this 1000 stars. The best resort, service & location I have ever encountered in all my travels . Sofitel baru ia a true oasis, you arrive by boat and there are no other resorts - nothing but jungle for miles. We felt like we were on White Lotus lol. The staff is unmatched , attentive & sweet. The resort itself never felt crowded , we would see maybe 4 others groups during the day . Always had loungers at beach or pool. The grounds & the room were to die for , the height of luxury . Would go again and again. "
"I went to take a break from work and it was an amazing experience, the food, the staff and the vendors. Somo local dogs hanged arroun and are very friendly. Love the fact that is very quiet at night."
