Family friendly Hotels in Southport, North Carolina

"I have used Hotel Ballast exclusively when traveling to Wilmington, NC. I have always had the use of a walk in shower. However, this trip was different. I was placed in room 637 which had a bathtub with the use of a shower. I was not given the option of a room with a walk in shower. Based on ones age and to prevent accidents, rooms should be age appropriate based on guest needs. The room also had an extra door. I could see other guest or employees walking by that door. "

"It was nothing real fancy, but very quiet, relaxing and room was comfortable. It was at the very end of the island, so very little traffic and uncrowded beach. Unfortunately the bar/restaurant was closed both days we were there but could easily access other places via Uber or Uber Eats."
