"Arrived at hotel only to find no one there and bar closed, hotel restaurant closed. I complained to the young man at desk but he was only a low paid employee who apologized repeatedly. I paid for two ocean view rooms for two nights. Room door would not close, shower head broken, toilet wouldn't flush. Rooms needed paint. Ants in both rooms. Many items on menu not available lack of money to resupply bar and food items. Awesome views but hotel very tired. Management to be found anywhere only...

"Unbelievable view over the ocean and surrounding hills. The property was very clean. The on-site restaurant was great for any meals, snacks or drinks. We had one of the swim-up rooms, and it had everything we needed. The bathroom had obviously been renovated and updated and was very nice. My only recommendation for the hotel would be adding a safe in the room and bedside tables/lamps. There are several beaches and lots of restaurants within an easy walk (but it is on a hill, so you will earn...

"Has an upscale very tropical feel. The front desk and concierge arranged airport transportation and excursions for us prior to our stay. Very personalized service throughout our stay. There is no TV on the premises. That was a down side for us, but if you really want to relax and unplug, it's probably a plus for most people."

"We only stayed two nights, but we loved it. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the playa Carillo is absolutely beautiful. The food is really good. There is sunset yoga, I did not know and I wish I would have !"
