Put it this way, we booked 8 nights here. By day 4, we literally extended our stay to 12 nights. The hotel staff was great, kept us in the same room, easy transition. Close to Whalers Village, but not too close. Which made it peaceful and serene. Close to black rock as well. Top notch snorkeling at black rock. Snorkeled 9 days. Swam with turtles every time we snorkeled. Breakfast buffet was very good. Scrambled eggs at the buffet almost every day, but “made to order eggs” every day Daily items, bacon, fresh fruit, breads, danish,etc, potatoes and some kind of sausage, also then had a variety of fish and fried rice, which was actually very tasty. Our room was on the ocean front. In my opinion it was worth the extra money. Very spacious, clean, updated, quiet, and comfortable. Amazing views The restaurant was good, but the restaurants at Whalers village were better. Our favorite was Leilani’s. Fish tacos, and Mai Tais. After all it’s vacation in Hawaii! We will definitely be coming back and staying at the outrigger

From the staff at the beach rental station to the staff working at the cultural center, we could not have been more grateful for how thoughtful, kind and attentive everyone was! We appreciated how quiet the propriety was while still full of plenty to see and do. This was a perfect was to spend the week as a family and will definitely be back. You’ll love how close you are shops and restaurants, classes hosted at the cultural center, Black Rock for snorkeling and swimming, the overall serene atmosphere and farewell ceremony. A great week!

Great place next to the beach with excellent turtle spotting points. Yhe only concern was tge high prices of rentals, better to buy, it would be cheaper.

I feel like this resort needs to have a “staff stay” to see what the property is like. 1. The keurig machine in the room has one size it dispenses and that amount is larger than the minuscule mug provided. 2. The pool towel rule is difficult and doesn’t facilitate a relaxing easy trip. 3. $6 USD for a cup of drip coffee? 4. The guy in the take out at MBC - complains… all day. On the 31st he’s closing early to go to the doctor. I am sorry for trying to feed my kids xmas day 30 minutes before you closed. Overall - extremely average. Nothing blew me away. Doubtful I will return.

The hotel itself was really good but was let down by the onsite bar/ restaurant. long wait times even when there was plenty of open tables. Not allowed to go into the bar area without being on the waiting list! The place is a "Joke" we started walking to other hotels to get a drink or a meal.

I research many properties before visiting Maui., Outrigger stood out with being clean, not too costly and very convenient. I didn't want to pay for an over priced hotel as many in the area seem to be, yet, we wanted a safe , clean place and that is exactly what we got. The hotel, the grounds were super clean, very very well maintained and the staff were always nice and had the "Aloha" spirit greeting you. Its in a great area, awesome views, very good coffee and pastries as well. I would definitely stay at this location again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a very nice, clean, safe place to stay that won't break the bank.

This was out first time to Maui and Outriggers was the BEST! Ron was EXTREMELY helpful with any questions we had in regards to activities and dining options. Maui(Lagaina) staff made our first trip to Maui magical!! Will be back!!
