"This place was so cute! We booked the king suite and it overlooked the pool. Room was very large and the shower was 10/10. The place was very peaceful and the staff was so kind and accommodating. It was right next to the beach and the grocery store plus tons of restaurants were nearby on the beach. I would definitely return! "

"This is a condo building not a hotel (no on site restaurant, store etc, but you can request daily housekeeping). It is located on top of a steep winding road, very quiet and private, AMAZING views of the bay. They were communicative in advance of our arrival and we could text anytime we needed something. "We enjoyed our stay with many thanks to Leo, Mary and the young fellow who hoisted my bag up and down the stairs. Our suite was clean and spacious, with a gorgeous view of Playa La Ropa and the fireworks on New Year’s Eve! So close to the beach and so many any excellent restaurants. "This resort is in a perfect location. Easy quick walk to shopping, other restaurants, groceries. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. The SunClub is a nice touch for selective drinks, snacks and seating. Raymundo and Simon at the swim up bar are the very best. Lots of activities and entertainment if you chose. "

"My stay at Cala de Mar in Ixtapa was truly fantastic. The room was stunning, featuring a private jacuzzi with breathtaking views, creating the perfect spot to unwind. The hotel was impeccably clean, and the staff was warm and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. While the hotel is exceptional, a few improvements could elevate it further. First, gratuities are already included, but this isn’t clearly communicated, which can cause confusion. More transparency would enhance the experience. Second, while the food was decent, a more skilled chef would bring the dining to the same high standard as the rest of the hotel. Additionally, the Seafood Market restaurant’s reservation system needs improvement—despite requiring reservations, my table was given away to other guests. Another issue was room service, which often took up to an hour—a long wait for a luxury hotel. Improving efficiency here would be a great enhancement. Despite these minor issues, Cala de Mar remains an incredible destination. The breathtaking views, exceptional rooms, and welcoming atmosphere make it a wonderful place to relax. With a few refinements, it has the potential to be truly world-class. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a luxurious, peaceful, and scenic escape in Ixtapa!"
