"A typical mid range seaside hotel. Like the curates egg, good in part. Trying to be objective but honest, so staff were nice, breakfast and dinner good and lovely sea views. On the other hand reception was a bit like a small guest house but it worked. Our room/suite was potentially a very nice room spoilt by a miniscule bathroom about 1.5m square and virtually impossible to get two people in there at once! "Nice welcome by staff/ owner. Room wasn’t cleaned properly. The en-suite bathroom had a very bad smell of mould. Was told on arrival that there were no housekeeping services anymore. I had to ask for towels as none were left in the room and when I received it, it had tooth paste on it. States free parking, this is not true all streets around the lodge are permit parking only, so had to use a car park and pay and walk back to the lodge.
