"Amazing. I will be back. Literally a 5 star experience walking distance to the most beautiful area in Kyoto. Very easy to access anything you want; food, shopping, shrines, metro and trains. The staff couldn’t be more kind always arranging taxis or giving suggestions of where to go and eat etc.. I was sad to leave this hotel. That doesn’t happen very often in traveling. "Perfect location in Gion, easy walking distance to convenient bus stops and subway stops, as well as many restaurants/shops. The Shirakawa river was so relaxing to watch. From our room, we could see cranes, turtles and large fish! Excellent decor with art and beautiful lighting, incredibly spacious (3 stories, all with full bath) with nice amenities (coffee/tea, pajamas/robe, umbrellas, laundry!, rooftop deck) and all rooms/floors had separate lockable entry code. "What a gem!! We stayed for 4 days. Had to readjust our arrival and departure date at last minute due to typhoon Shanshan☹️. They even refunded our last day stay without asking as we had to leave a day earlier due to approaching typhoon.We arrived at midnight by train and the manager met us on site to welcome us and explain everything. Having a washer and dryer in one machine on site saved us! We would do a load of laundry every night and in the morning have clean clothes. Saved a lot of time...

"The location was great, easy 5 min walk to subway and bus. Only 15 mins to market and shopping. The room was comfortable and a good size for Japanese standards. It is nice to have a kitchenette and there was free water. We only received 1 towel each and had to ask for extra towels which was not a problem. I asked for an extra pillow and they did not have any, that is a first and very unfortunate since it made my sleeping less comfortable."
