The property is in a great location, close to Carnival Cruise boarding. It is an older property, but very well maintained, and our suite had been renovated and updated and was very spacious. The best reason to stay here is the excellent customer service and Ms. Dee does everything she can to make you feel welcomed. I would stay here again just to interact with her! She is a gem!

The property has easy walking access to restaurants and shops along the Strand. However, the price was too high for the value. I've stayed in rooms equally large and furnished better for basically half the price. The bed was too soft for my wife and I and the room was large but the furnishings were sparse and the chairs uncomfortable.

Nicely situated near the cruise port and multiple dining and shopping areas in Galveston. They offer a shuttle to the dock, but the walk isn't too bad either. The breakfast offered at the Harbor House is good for a quick fill before heading out.

For the price of the room I expected a clean room and some more recent updates to the facility. The air conditioning unit was so dirty you could see a thick layer of dust through the vent. The area around the windows and the bathroom door was sloppily repaired (simply painted over). The faucet in the sink and shower were corroded and were unclean. The tissue holder was chipped. There was what appeared to be mold around the bathroom mirror. For > $300/night I was really disappointed and would not stay there again.
