This is a resort property that is starting to show its age. The room was not very clean, smoke detector seemed damaged, bathroom was in rough shape with rust showing and bath tub needing tile replacement and grout. The property is nice, views are great, restaurants were excellent, but the property needs updating. The cost per night was not equivalent to the way the room presented.

I have been coming to Galveston my whole life but it gets prettier, safer and more things to do each year. The San Luis is a gorgeous hotel to stay in while checking out the Seawall. It is safe to walk even at night. The San Luis pool and pool service is the best!

This was our first experience at this resort. It is beautiful and every staff we encountered were amazing. The pool area, foods and drinks were great. We will come back.
