"This is not what I thought. The staff have a hard time with communication. The room was dusty with spiders. I was put in the bottom level with a parking lot view. The castle was not busy. Sauna was nice and the pool was nice. Food was really good. "

"Stayed here with the family. We thought this would be a fun break from our travels to swim and do the rock climbing wall but you need advance reservations for the wall. And the pool is just a lap pool. There were lots of kids there for sports camps. We couldn’t wait to check out and move on. "

The attached bar - the Rockeria - is a bit like a TGI Fridays, with the same varied levels of service you’d get there! "It is a particular style of decor throughout the Landhaus (everything about knights, and middle ages - all fake etc) that isn't appealing to me. The room was on the ground floor, you couldn't open the curtain or the window because everyone could look into our room and it was somewhat stuffy. I would not have taken this room if I had an option. A very regulated place: rules over rules."

There wasn't any free parking for the hotel (their lot is under construction) but they offered a discount on a local garage and street parking is free at night. "Impressed with the hotel’s professional staff who were consistently helpful. Two staff members - Ella at the front desk and Artigas in the restaurant provided exceptional service. Each went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. They both speak excellent English which helped since my German is limited. The breakfast buffet is excellent and I also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The hotel is a bit dated but comfortable with good views of the Baltic. "

Great hotel in very good location

"The hotel has a great location. You can get by foot to the town centre in about 15 minutes and the beaches around the hotel are way less crowded than in other parts. There is also a bus station close by that will get you to Binz station as well as surrounding towns and the Rasender Roland. The hotel itself is surprisingly large with a lot of amenities on offer that we didn't have time to check, but there are plenty of restaurants and bars as well as fun activities within the hotels perimeters. The 2 room apartment is big and has everything you could need including a drying rack, pots and pans for cooking, hair dryer, and plenty of tables to eat. Only one thing to note, at least for us, the shampoo dispenser was outside the shower with no other options provided, so consider to bring your own."
