I thought that putt putt golf was included in the stay, but was advised that since we booked through Hotels.com and not through the hotel directly that we would have to pay for golf. I wasn’t expecting that. That was a bummer. It’s kind of why I selected this hotel. "

"The room was pretty much a standard economy room; it had an updated interior and smelled clean. The bed was very soft, but that is kind of subjective. I prefer a firmer mattress. Overall, the room did what we asked it to do, which was to give a place to sleep for two nights. Nothing fancy, but that's okay. As you can see from the picture, the building has a charming ocean wave shape going on, but it wasn't really noticeable from inside our room."

"I like Surf Motel, even though it does not have an ocean view, because it is reasonably priced, well-maintained, and the central garden area gives it a special, homey feel. Traffic noise is not a consideration, and the location is convenient to Fort Bragg's features and very close to the harbor."
