"The hotel and hotel room were lovely and clean with high quality fittings and fixtures. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Our room had locked patio doors with no balcony which was a bit odd so it would've been nice to have the option to open a window slightly. Also the TV casting didn't work and also the guide wasn't working properly so none of the programmes on the TV channels were displaying. "This was my second visit to Edinburgh and my first stay at the Apex Waterloo and I loved it! The hotel is well situated in the center of the city and close to all the major attractions. The room was comfortable and spacious. The staff are very welcoming and sweet. The sauna, steam room and pool are terrific. And I booked a room with a tub large enough for two people and it was a lovely treat! I highly recommend Apex Waterloo for a fantastic stay! "

"Apex Grassmarket hotel is ntohing short of exceptional. From my initial arrival to the very second before i left, i was treated with courtesy and hospitality. The hotel is located in a beautiful part of Edinburgh. The location gives you access to steps to the castle and is mere steps away from the Royal mile. "Really beautiful, comfortable space for short and long term stays (my second time booking here). A few of dishes had food still stuck to them but fortunately there’s a dishwasher en suite. Could do with slightly better lighting in the bedroom area as the hanging lamps are so low they can’t illuminate the pages of a book unless you get right beside them. "Interior design of the hotel is superb - clearly a lot of thought (and money) invested in the revamp. The only let down was the shambolic bar service -35 minutes waiting for a drink order to appear.
