"We stayed in one of the bungalows close to the beach, which I would highly recommend. The rooms up near the reception would require walking a steep set of stairs each time you wanted to use the pool, beach, bar or restaurant. Our bungalow was very nice with a front porch to sit on. The front desk staff was helpful with arranging boat tours and taxis. The beach in front of the resort is beautiful and very swimmable. "I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area. I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely. At night time I had an evening meal which was tasty and they accommodated my dietary requirements very well. I am gluten intolerant. I recommend this hotel if you like quiet and beauty filled...

The check in was while sitting in a living room, they explain me all of the option for a day tour, the took care of my laundry after treking the Kilimanjaro. The lodge looks is wonderful, all is green beautifully plants, the room is wide, clean cacfully and really nice, the food is diverse and delicious.
