"This place is not a backpackers hostel. Its in the middle of nowhere. 50min walk along muddy roads to town. I received 1 meal (excluding black coffee and plain bread for breakfast) in 4 days. As soon as they realise you are not buying a tour, they don't care. No toilet paper, soap. Nobody spoke English to ask anything."

"This stay was the worst part about my trip to Zanzibar. I had to book it last minute because my original hotel reservation was randomly cancelled. "Looks nothing like the photos. Pool was dirty and the girl "running" the reception was so uninterested in anything and barely smiled once. Was empty most of my stay and not comfortable for a single female traveller. Breakfast was not good, was just fruit and an egg. I wasn't able to fully open the door of my room because there was an extra bed in there that was supposed to be removed, but was not. Ashtrays around the pool looked like they had not been emptied for a month."
